HOLY SUPPER
You went with heavy footsteps while walking to the cross,
A crown of thorns upon you to make your suffering great (with great pain)
You wandered bruised and battered, a sacrifice for my life,
You shed your blood so precious and cast away my sin.
CHORUS
Oh Master, this is done in your remembrance,
We remember that your painful death gave me light and liberty,
Oh Master, you have cleansed my soul from sin,
With your precious blood you gave me great redemption and new life.
2
The arms of your Apostle will rise into the skies,
To lift the bread and chalice, and blessed we’ll become (by your love)
The table is now ready, the wine and bread of life.
And you shall be here with us, Oh blessed Jesus Christ.
3
The story of your passing will be retold with love,
When through the clouds descending, with Glory and Majesty (Majesty);
We’ll sing hymns by the thousands and praise you in the highest,
Triumphant with the Apostle he’ll take us to Your side.
